Terms of Service

Cover Letter Generator is an AI-powered tool that generates tailored cover letters based on your CV and job descriptions you provide. The Service is provided on a subscription basis, with a limited free tier available to new users.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• One account per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits is prohibited.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are displayed on the Pricing page and are inclusive of any applicable taxes where required by law.

• Cancellation — you may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
• Free tier — free tier usage limits are applied per account and are non-transferable.
• Price changes— we will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. Continuing to use the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Generate content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the Service.
• Circumvent any technical measures or usage limits.
• Resell or redistribute the Service or its outputs without our written consent.

Cover letters generated by the Service are produced by AI and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any content before submitting it to a prospective employer. We make no warranty that generated content will secure employment or be free of errors.

You retain ownership of the cover letters generated using your data. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

The Service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by Cover Letter Generator and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cover Letter Generator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
